Revolutionizing HCM: Introducing the New Areas of Responsibility Usage Feature
Exciting news in the world of Human Capital Management (HCM)! We’re thrilled to introduce a game-changing feature: Areas of Responsibility (AOR) Usage, born from a customer-submitted idea. This enhancement is set to streamline HCM Approvals and Journeys, making your experience more efficient and tailored.
What’s New?
- Enhanced AOR Utilization: Specify the Usage attribute in your AORs to focus on the relevant product areas. This means no more unnecessary involvement of all representatives in every task.
- Simplified Journeys and Approvals: The new feature supports specific settings for HCM Approvals and Journeys, ensuring only relevant representatives are involved, thereby optimizing workflow efficiency.
Usage Scenarios Explained
- Recruiting Representatives: Now specifically used in Journeys, not in HCM Approvals.
- HR Representatives: Can approve termination transactions without being part of Journeys.
- Learning Evaluators: Access people in specific jobs without being involved in checklist tasks or approvals.
Key Enhancements
- No More ‘Work Contacts’ Hassle: As a Journeys user, you no longer need to enable the “Include in work contacts” option, streamlining the process and reducing confusion.
- Diagnostic Tools: Use the “Person Diagnostic Auto Correct” report to ensure your Usage values are up to date post-upgrade.
Tips and Considerations
- Choose Wisely: When creating new AORs, select the appropriate Usage setting based on its intended purpose.
- Leverage Templates: Use Responsibility Templates for defaulting Usage values and Work Contacts settings.
- Prepare for the Future: The classic UI version of Manage Areas of Responsibility will soon be deprecated. It’s recommended to transition to the responsive version.
